I like that James texts me photos every time he finishes mowing and he has always been very responsive via text message. There have been maybe two instances in the last year when he didn't show up when expected, but it was never a big deal (especially since I only get charged after mowing is complete) and again was very responsive when I texted him a reminder. He also was very flexible with us when we decided to space out our mowing schedule in the summer when our lawn went dormant.

For what I need, James has been great and I definitely would recommend him.

He was the most reasonable and actually took the time to look at the work and explain what it would take to get the job done. The other 2 companies that came out stood by the house and gave ridiculously high prices with provisions that would have allowed them to increase the price at their discretion. I went with James because he showed up on time, listened to what I wanted him to do, and repeated it back to ensure he understood. He got me the quote by the end of the day, just like he said he would. I was very impressed with his communication. He emailed or texted me at the end of each day to let me know what was done and let me know what they planned to do the next day. Communication was better than any contractor I have ever worked with. We had a family construction company for 50+ years, and even our communication was not this good! Suffice it to say, I truly appreciated the great communication and updates.

This job was huge! More came up that I wanted done, and he gave me great pricing on the add-on projects. One of those projects included clearing the deck of the junk I had planned to take to the dump. When he was unsure if something was included, he would text me and clarify, which I very much appreciated. He was very detail oriented. I had some plants that I did not like and never planted. I mentioned digging them up and posting them on a plant share group or just tossing them. He ended up digging them up and put them in the old pots I was planning to get rid of; the only thing I had to do was take them to the front yard and post them for people to take. It was great and very helpful of him to do that.

I mostly wanted to get the yard done so my Bernedoodle puppy had a safe and fun place to play. I am happy to say she loves her back yard!! She runs her circle path across the deck up the rockery and across the backyard again and again, has her "zoomies" and plays for hours throughout the day. I still have my part to do, but thanks to James and his crew, I now have a blank slate and can return my yard to its previous glory!

I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have any type of work done in their yard. They have proven to be reliable, communicative, and very good at what they take on. I will likely be hiring them again in the near future for other projects. Thank you, James, for your part in making my backyard livable again. I appreciate it more than I can say!

I have included some before and after pics so you can see the extent of the job. The before pics were taken a year or so ago. So, the plants/trees/shrubs were a bit taller this year, but you can get the idea. The other pics are what James sent me on the last day. As I said, I still have my part to do, but what he was able to accomplish would have taken me months, and now I have a blank slate!
